Builders Board is operated from Switzerland and is designed so people can explore opportunities without exposing everyone’s identity or contact details.

What is public
Approved opportunity titles, project descriptions, requested help, stage, terms, and any location or project link included in a post are public. Approved profiles show the information and links the member marks public. Names are hidden by default and appear only when the member chooses first-name or full-name visibility.
Private account, conversations, and contact data
Builders Board stores your Google account identifier, name, email, optional picture, profile, opportunities, saves, introductions, private messages, contact-sharing choices, blocks, reports, feedback, and moderation status to operate and protect the service. Accepting an introduction opens a private conversation but does not reveal your email. Your email and links marked for sharing appear only when you explicitly share your contact details; links marked private remain private.
Why data is used
Account and collaboration data is used to provide the service you request. Safety, rate-limit, and moderation data is used to prevent abuse and protect members. Essential authentication cookies are used to keep you signed in. Where European data-protection law applies, these activities are based on providing the service, legitimate interests in operating a safe community, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where specifically requested.
Service providers and countries
Cloudflare provides hosting and database infrastructure; Google provides sign-in and optional location suggestions; Resend provides transactional email. These providers may process data in Switzerland, the European Economic Area, the United States, or other locations where they operate, subject to their contractual data-protection safeguards. Builders Board does not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
How long data is kept
Account, profile, saved-item, introduction, conversation, message, and contact-sharing data is kept while your account exists. Closed and expired opportunities remain available to their owner until the account is deleted. Authentication sessions expire after 30 days. Reports, moderation records, and feedback are kept only as long as reasonably needed for safety, dispute handling, and legal obligations, then deleted or de-identified.
Delete your account
Open your profile, expand “Account and data,” and choose “Delete account and data.” Your profile, opportunities, saves, introductions, conversations, and messages are removed immediately. De-identified safety records may be retained when needed to protect the community.
Your choices and rights
You can edit visibility settings and profile information in the product. You may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy of your data, and may complain to the data-protection authority that applies to you. Security and changes
Builders Board uses access controls, encrypted HTTPS connections, signed cookies, and moderation measures designed to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Material changes to this notice will be explained on this page before they take effect.
